Wilt and Wade Fall Slow Write

Public·26 Writers

Scene Resource

As you write, it might get easier and then again, you may begin to feel a struggle with certain aspects of writing.

I've attached a Screen Snapshot to help guide you as you consider what's coming next in your story.

At times, I can randomly struggle with how to write dialogue or lose track of time and environment. It's part of the process. We go back, look at our notes, regroup, and most importantly, keep moving forward. These moments when we trip up are not the time to stop altogether.

How is everyone doing?

Reading Your Own Work

I've been MIA for a bit as I've been ill. It's been difficult to do much more than work. I had hoped to finish reading my novel on my Kindle, but my mind feels like it's in reader's block. Have you ever experienced this? A bit like writer's block but it's an inability to read your work?

I'm not sure the reason, but I speculate it may be a little bit of anxiety toward either the excitement of the novel actually being ready or the fear that I'll find it still needs work.

I am making a new goal to have it read by Oct. 27. My author's projects must come first and this should be realistic with the other projects I'm working on.

Checking In

Hello writers! How is everyone doing? Next week will mark one month down for the Fall Slow Write. I'd love to hear what's happening. Even if, perhaps, you haven't started or have stalled. That's okay. Each day is a new opportunity to move forward with your project. Remember why you joined this group.

I'm reviewing my manuscript on my Kindle for readability and accuracy. There is a good chance I'll have it ready to publish before the end of FSW.

I had a few chapters of my cozy mystery, and now realize I want to scrap it and start over in a new direction! Hopefully I can get it together!

Hit a Goal 🥳

I made it past 70,000 words in my revised manuscript for my 95,000 word novel. My goal for the Fall Slow Write is to finish the revised manuscript.
